Ready to Participate Differently in Your Own Life

You're managing. Work, family, responsibilities — from the outside, it looks handled. But something isn't working the way it used to. Maybe it's a pattern you keep repeating. Maybe you've spent years putting everyone else first. Maybe you already understand exactly why you are the way you are, and that understanding hasn't actually changed how you're living.

You're not looking to be fixed. You're ready to participate differently in your own life.

Gloria Young, life coach and holistic counselor, seated in a relaxed home setting.

Meet Your Guide

Hi, I'm Dr. Gloria

This is the work I built to meet you there.

I've always been fascinated by people — why we think the way we think, why we repeat certain patterns, what actually allows someone to change. That's what drew me to psychology in the first place. But the deeper I went, the more I realized awareness on its own isn't enough. Understanding why you do something doesn't automatically change what you do next. I became more interested in what happens after the awareness — how someone actually begins living differently.

That question took me beyond psychology and into counseling, coaching, hypnotherapy, mind-body work, and energy practices — not because I rejected any one path, but because I wanted the freedom to work with the whole person: their history and their body, their beliefs and their nervous system, their patterns and, for those who connect with it, their spiritual life too.

It wasn't one dramatic decision that moved me away from a clinical path — it was a gradual realization that this work didn't fit neatly inside one box. I wanted to work at the intersection of counseling, coaching, and whole-person practice, rather than within a model that starts by identifying what's wrong with you.

That's what you get here: someone who isn't going to start by asking what's wrong with you, but by asking what's actually going on and what you're ready for now.

Awareness. Choice. Change.

The breakthroughs I see in this work aren't usually dramatic. More often, it's someone finally recognizing a pattern they couldn't see before — why a boundary has been so hard to hold, why they keep second-guessing themselves, why they know what they want but haven't been able to move toward it. And then something shifts. Awareness becomes choice.

I'm not here to help you understand yourself just for the sake of understanding. I'm here to ask: now that you can see it, what becomes possible?

Why "Living Beyond Limits"

Most of the limits we live inside aren't actually ours. They're inherited, learned, absorbed — shaped by experiences, expectations, family, culture, fear, or earlier versions of ourselves that were doing the best they could with what they knew at the time.

Living beyond limits doesn't mean pretending hard things don't exist. It means becoming aware of what's been shaping your life, and deciding, on purpose, what still belongs. Releasing what's not yours. Becoming who you were meant to be.

Where This Comes From

Psychology taught me to ask why. Counseling creates space to understand. Coaching asks what now. Mind-body work recognizes that we experience life through more than just our thoughts. And the spiritual side of this work makes room for what isn't always easily explained intellectually. Embody is where all of it comes together.

I hold a D.C.Ed. in C.O.R.E. Counseling, and I'm a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Board Certified Hypnotherapist, with over 20 years of training behind that throughline.

What that means for you: whatever door you walk through first — a conversation, a subconscious pattern, a body that's been holding on — there's real depth behind it, not just one certification doing all the work.

Your journey to healing begins with a single step towards
self-discovery and self-care.
